Agency activity

In the long term, the National Agency for Network and Electronic Services emphasizes the fulfillment of tasks and goals resulting from the two basic framework documents of eGovernment and the informatization of public administration - "National concept of informatization of public administration" and "Strategy of informatization of public administration".

NASES is a contributory organization of the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, which was established to fulfill the tasks
from § 10 of Act no. 575/2001 Coll. on the organization of government activities and the organization of the central state administration, as well as from § 4 of Act no. 95/2019 Coll. on information technologies in public administration. This mainly concerns the fulfillment of professional tasks in the field of company informatization, administration and operation of electronic communication networks and services for the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic.

The main task of the agency and the subject of its activity is the management, operation and development of the government data network GOVNET and the operation and development of the services of the Central Portal of Public Administration, as the basic tools of informatization of public administration in Slovakia. Furthermore, it is a consulting, mediation and training activity in the field of informatics, information and electronic communication networks and engineering-project activity in the field of information networks and electronic communication services, as well as other activities related to network and electronic services.

The activity of the NASES agency supports the acceleration of the development and expansion of eGovernment services in Slovakia, which will lead to savings and more efficient performance of public administration, simplifying the contact of citizens with authorities, and support of the overall information maturity of Slovak society, the public sphere, the business community, as well as the general public.

Operation of the slovensko.sk portal, government network Govnet, qualified trusted services, cyber security, telecommunications networks.

Projects

Support for the development of the information society in Slovakia with the aim of connecting individual state and public administration offices, simplifying the contact of citizens and business entities with public authorities.
